The National Assembly Minority Leader Francis Nyenze has called for calm from the people of Kamba community, following alleged incitement by the National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale.
Nyenze asked Kamba's to exercise calm, following Duale's alleged remarks, that they should be chased away from Garissa, and be prevented from registering as voters ahead of the August 8 polls.
"I urge Ukambani people to remain calm even as investigations continue. We are aware that what Hon Duale said is incitement and risk brewing violence and inter-community fights even as we head into elections,'' said the Kitui West lawmaker.
He asked relevant authorities to take firm legal action against the Garissa Township lawmaker, irrespective of his position in government.
Duale has since dismissed the voice in the audio clip, saying it was not his.
