Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has dismissed Kibwezi West MP Francis Nyenze's endorsement for President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election during the August polls.
On Sunday, Nyenze rubbished Opposition coalition NASA's continued onslaught against the Jubilee adminstration, citing the first phase completion of the Standard Gauge Railway and the National Youth Service project.
“Let’s not be swayed by politics of empty rhetoric by those alleging President Uhuru hasn’t worked well. The truth is Uhuru has done a lot and we’ll elect those whose work can be seen” he noted.
But in a quick rejoinder, Senator Mutula accused Nyenze of double-speak, noting that the electorate would ignore such politicians in the next general elections.
“We all can see the timing of this endorsement. Soon after securing the Wiper nomination certificate and clearance by IEBC…how come Mr Nyenze wasn’t bold enough to say that before party primaries?” the Senator wondered.
