National Assembly Minority Leader Francis Nyenze did not attend a meeting that settled on Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga and Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka combinations for the National Super Alliance( NASA), reports the Standard.

According to the local daily, It is not yet clear as to why Nyenze opted to stay away from the meeting.

“We are not sure if he absconded the meeting or he had other commitments. We wanted him to raise his objections but he did not turn up, so we assume he is in agreement with our decision,” said the source, as quoted by the Star.

Earlier on, Nyenze had maintained that Wiper leaders will walk out of alliance if Kalonzo is not named the alliance’s flag bearer ahead of the August polls.

The outspoken leader said that the Kamba community is not ready to wait longer for the Presidency adding that No Kalonzo no NASA.

"The Kambas have reached an edge and if it is not Kalonzo, Wiper will go it alone. We'll not play second fiddle to anybody," he said.

Nyenze’s firm stand has continued to attract mixed reactions from different leaders as the election date draws closer.
