A section of leaders from Nyeri is calling for prayers to cleanse the county.Led by Dr. Thuo Mathenge, a former gubernatorial candidate for Nyeri County, contend that the county is jinxed.Mathenge said that elders should conduct prayers under a Mugumo tree to prevent the strange deaths of Nyeri leaders.''I want to urge elders in the county to come out and pray the traditional way to cleanse our county of these deaths. We are witnessing,'' he said while speaking in Nyeri.Nyeri has been plagued by the deaths of its leaders.Two governors and an MCA died while in office.
