Jubilee Party nominees for various seats from Nyeri County have pledged to deliver half a million votes to their Party Leader and Presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta.
Led by Senatorial seat aspirant Ephraim Maina, the leaders said they will work hard as a team to ensure President Kenyatta is re-elected in the forthcoming August 8 general elections.
“We are going to work tirelessly to campaign for President Uhuru Kenyatta and ensure he gets massive support from Nyeri,” said Maina during the aspirants meeting in Nyeri.
Maina said they will traverse Central region to ensure Jubilee Party defeats the National Super Alliance (NASA) with a landslide.
The leaders also urged losers in the just concluded JP nominations to support the winners and work together to deliver victory to the Head of State.
“What transpired during the nominations is now water under the bridge. I urge all those we competed against to support us for the sake of peace and party unity,” urged Kieni MP Kanini Kega.
President Kenyatta last week made the same appeal to Jubilee Party politicians who lost in the nominations to continue working with his administration.
“Those who lost will not be left behind and should accept the people’s decision and come work with the Jubilee administration. Those who won should listen to what the people have said and do according to their expectations,” he said speaking at JP headquarters at Pangani Junction, Nairobi.
