Seme MP James Nyikal has called upon his constituents to source for manpower from the area for construction works.

Nyikal said many people continue to source for the workforce from outside the constituency. He said many youths have trained in many construction fields and should be promoted to carry out those works.

The MP said the money for construction should not leave the constituency.

“We want the money being spent in every section of construction to remain here with us. Let us engage our young money who have trained in these fields,” he said.

Speaking at Kit Mikayi Technical Training Institute on Friday, Nyikal said the youth have invested in training and should be supported to get work. He hailed the vocation training institute for giving young people a place to train in different fields.

Nyikal said many youths failed to take Uwezo Fund because they lacked the skills to manage the fund. He promised to give the youth who are registering at the institute Constituency Development Fund bursary once the government registers the institution.

“Once the government registers this institution I will support students registering her for different courses with CDF bursary,” he said.

Nyikal had accompanied the French envoy to Kenya Remi Marechaux who visited the institute.
