Kiambu county women rep Annah Nyokabi has expressed his sentiments with the declining standards of morality in the county.

She said that Kiambu County has witnessed rising cases of incest and defilement which has become rampant especially in the slums and villages in the area.

Nyokabi said that each new day in the county court cases of defilement and incest has been alarming urging community to protect the girl child from the claws of the immoral men.

She said that girl child are the most affected in the society due to their vulnerability and thus men have taken advantage where relatives defile their daughters terming it as inhuman and immoral.

The women rep has called on residents to come out handy and report those perpetrators to the relevant authority for justice to be done accordingly.

The legislator said that in partnership with Kiambu County police commander Peter Mugera they have launched a crackdown to fathers and men who perform the inhuman act that the law will not tolerate them in the community.

She has called on residents to work closely with local chiefs and Community Policing representatives to fish them out from the community for the law to take its cause.

Nyokabi revealed that Mugera has consulted her on how to tame those criminals saying plans are underway and soon such cases will be long forgotten in Kiambu county.

The law maker who was speaking on Monday morning in Kiambu town has however extended her gratitude to the county government of Kiambu for constant support to the community policing and police crew in general.
