Speaking on Sunday at Kiambu Town during a church service, Nyokabi maintained that the Jubilee lawmakers will fight tooth and nail to save the speaker from ouster.

“We will shoot down the motion that seeks to ouster Muturi, the motion is calculated scheme by Cord to discredit the speaker,” said Nyokabi.

Nyokabi said the censure motion against the speaker was in bad faith by the opposition.

“The allegations against Muturi do not hold water. We, Jubilee legislators will use our numerical strength to shoot down the motion,” added Nyokabi.

Nyokabi accused Cord of using the motion to 'divert Kenyans' attention from graft involving opposition.

The legislator further defended the Jubilee administration against graft accusation.

“The Jubilee administration has never been involved in graft accusations and the allegations are uncalled for,” she observed.

Nyokabi added that Cord's motive is a diversion of public interest from corruption against Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

Ababu Namwamba's PAC-led committee has been embroiled in a cut-edging accusation of graft, and he his fighting to restore his reputation and career at the parliamentary committee.

The censure motion against the speaker is sponsored by Kibwezi West MP Patrick Musimba.
