Nyong'o and Owili got the appointment when the national and regional ASK officials paid them a courtesy call at the governor's office in anticipation of this year's regional ASK exhibition, scheduled for July at Mamboleo Show Ground.

In a statement shared by Nyong'o's communication team, the Governor proposed the formation of a joint committee between the county officials and ASK official to look in the issues affecting the operations of Mamboleo Show Ground.

Nyong'o further noted that the committee should come up with remedies that will see the facility realise its full potential.

Some of the proposed facilities to be put up at the ground include conference and sporting facilities.

"This will increase the county government revenue base.Locals are encouraged to make use of the agricultural technologies showcased at the region show in their farms thus boosting agribusiness in the region," the statement read in part.

This year's show will not only attract Kisumu residents but also the fourteen counties within the Lake Region Economic Bloc and neighboring East African countries.

Other leaders present atthe event included the Chief Executive Officer of the Lake Region Economic Bloc Mr Abala Wanga among others.
