Kisumu senator Anyang' Nyong'o has dismissed claims that the National Super Alliance (Nasa) is interested in a coalition government with the Jubilee administration.

Speaking during an interview on NTV on Monday, Nyong'o stated that Jubilee had failed in their governance and Nasa was not going to join forces with a failed administration.

"Nasa is not interested in a coalition government with the Jubilee administration. The government has failed and there is no way Nasa is joining hands with a failed system," said Nyong'o.

The senator further dismissed claims that Nasa was fighting to see the August polls postponed.

According to Nyong'o, the opposition was only fighting to ensure the elections are credible and transparent.

"Nasa is not fighting to have the elections postponed. What Nasa wants is a credible and transparent elections come August polls," added Nyong'o.

He applauded IEBC for convening presidential principles for a joint discussion on Monday July 10, on the way forward for the August polls on.
