[Photo|Eddy Illah]Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang' Nyong'o convened a meeting of governors from 11 counties in the Western region to deliberate on the best strategy to ensure maximum voter turnout and victory for the National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the forthcoming fresh presidential election.The meeting brought together Governors Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega), Wycliffe Wangamati (Bungoma), Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay), Okoth Obado (Migori), Sospeter Ojamong' (Busia), James Ongwae (Kisii), John Nyangarama (Nyamira), Deputy Governor of Siaya James Okumbe and Kisumu Deputy Governor Dr Ochieng' Owili, Wednesday.In attendance were also representatives from Raila Odinga Campaign Secretariat which include, Dr David Ndii, Dr Adams Oloo and Joe Ager.The governors released campaign schedule in their respective counties and urged the public to come out in large numbers to a shame their Jubilee Party opponents.

They also castigated statement by President Uhuru Kenyatta that he made Wednesday while addressing a delegation from Kisii in Nakuru saying that he would ensure the courts rule in favor of Jubilee candidates who petitioned the elections of Nyamira and Kisii governors. "This shows how the president belittles the wisdom and independence of Judiciary and respect to the rule of law," said governors from the two counties.At the Grand Royal Swiss Hotel, Nyong'o urged Nasa supporters and well wishers to continue making contributions to their pay bill number to help facilitate presidential campaigns. The governors also reiterated their intention to start a strong economic block as leaders from the 13 counties forming the Lake Region Economic Bloc.
