Kisumu Senator Anyang' Nyong'o has promised to mediate the talk between Kisumu governor and the entire county leadership.

Through his aide Babu Karan, the Senator is set to meet Governor Jack Ranguma and Women Representative Rose Nyamunga with an intention of finding ways through which peace could prevail in the lakeside county leadership.

Nyongo has also set different meetings with sections of the Members of County Assembly, irrespective of their political parties.

Speaking at the Kisumu Senate office on Friday, Karan said that previous efforts to bring the county leadership together had failed to bear fruits.

The senator is said to have met Minority Leader Edwin Anayo of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his majority counterpart Samuel Ongow before arriving at the decision of meeting all MCAs in the county.

“Following the recent wrangles in the county assembly and the trading of accusations levelled at the county leadership, the Senator has promised to mediate and offer reconciliatory takes to the entire county leadership. Nyongo will meet the MCAs in sections at different venues to see into how peace and harmony could prevail in the assembly,” said Karan.
