The Nyabundi 's family are mourning Harun Obewa the son of his brother (Nyong'o) Dr Julius Nyabundi, the Maseno University Vice-Chancellor.Audi's are mourning their son Demba Audi son to Richard Audi Osanjo who was one of Governor Nyong'o's chief campaigners.Speaking during the funeral service, Governor Nyong'o denounced the propaganda going viral on social media that he banned demonstrations in Kisumu, saying he issued an executive order that demonstrations will only be held in Kisumu when sanctioned by NASA.He also highlighted some of the fast-tracked projects by various companies in Kisumu County under his leadership, such as Kenya Breweries Limited, Kenya Pipeline Authority, Kenya Airports Authority, Kenya Ports Authority and a milk cooling plant in Muhoroni.He also slammed the Jubilee administration following Uhuru Kenyatta's inauguration on Tuesday, saying a republic cannot be built on quicksand."A republic cannot be built on quicksand, a house built on quicksand cannot stand, a house must be built on a firm foundation," he said, Saturday.
