[Photo|Anyang' Nyong'o]Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang' Nyong'o, visited the home of the late former Minister Robert Ouko,, to pay tribute to the late widow, Christabel.Aged 70-years, Christabel died on Monday August 21, in a road accident near Muhoroni-Kericho-Kisumu junction at around 2.30pm.She was leaving Kisumu, after attending Nyong'o's swearing-in ceremony, at the Kenyatta Sports Ground, in company of her son, who lost control of the vehicle near Rai Cement Factory next to the Muhoroni junction in Sigowet-Soin Constituency, Kericho county.Christabel, died at Siolam Hospital in Kericho, where she had been rushed for treatment. The son sustained minor injuries.Flanked by her wife, Zawadi, and his Deputy Ochieng' Owili, Nyong'o visited Ouko's family at Koru, Kisumu county, Thursday, pending burial arrangements.They also visited Ouko's grave, where they paid tribute, and pledged to continue praying with the family.Kericho East OCPD Justus Kitetu confirmed the transfer of Christabel’s body from Kericho to Nairobi's Lee Funeral Home.
