A lot of projects have been conducted by his administration in partnership with various partners both local and international.

Among the many activities the Governor and his team are involved in, the relocation of Kachok dumpsite to Kajulu area stands out as his biggest achievement so far.

During the electioneering period, Nyong'o promised Kisumu residents that the dumpsite will be relocated under his leadership and true to his word the dumpsite transfer began last month.

Kachok has been a headache for Kisumu residents for many decades with previous leaders promising to sort the mess out with no success.

The dumpsite occupied a large chunk of land and produced waste products that scared investors from putting up their investments in the area.

The dumpsite also posed a health risk for the residents around the area mostly children who played near it.

Speaking last month when the relocation started, Nyong'o noted that after the relocation, a park will be created in the area.

"You note that Kisumu has very few parks and only 0.4 percent of the area is covered by forest. We want to embark on an ambitious programme of afforestation and ensure 4 percent forest cover in our county in the next five years,” Nyong'o was quoted by The Nation.
