Speaking during an interview on a local television (Inooro TV), Nyoro rubbished the rumours that have been going rounds on social media adding that it's a plot by his enemies to bring him down.

"On Sunday, someone called me asking me to confirm if it was true that I had resigned as the Kiambu Deputy Governor. I was even shocked because I had been from church" said Nyoro.

The Kiambu deputy governor agreed that although there have been differences among the Kiambu leaders, he is not ready to resign from serving the people of Kiambu who gave him the mandate to serve.

"I cannot resign because of my enemies and I will be the Deputy Governor until 2022" added Nyoro.

Recently, James Nyoro and Governor Ferdinand Waititu publicly showed their differences at a church event hinting that all was not well.

This, however, is not a reason enough for James Nyoro to resign and has urged the naysayers to relax and watch him stay.

Nyoro also added that they are working closely with CECs to ensure quality service delivery to the people of Kiambu.

He added that they are also working hand in hand with the national government to ensure there is food security in the county.
