Kiambu County Government has assured ongoing floods victims support in terms of food supplies following the ugly disaster that has struck the nation.
Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa earlier said there is enough maize, beans and cooking oil which shall be supplied to the affected counties.
Speaking at Lari shopping center on Monday, Kiambu Deputy Governor James Nyoro said the Kiambu government will use all means to supply relief food to to those affected by the rains.
He said that the county government will join hand with the national government to see that all the effected families are well catered for.
Other counties heavily affected by the rain include Tana River, Marsabit, and Mandera where the situation is getting worse by day.
The CS added they would also work with county governments to ensure the families affected are assisted to rebuild their homes and get seeds, fertilizers, and other farm equipment once the situation returns to normal, a move hailed by Nyoro.
