Kiambu Deputy Governor James Nyoro has sent a reconciliation message to Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
This comes amid claims of ongoing internal wrangles between the two county leaders.Speaking during an interview on Hot 96 on Wednesday, Nyoro called on Waititu to work with him in developing the county, noting that two heads are better than one.“Two heads are better than one. I am hoping that we can reconcile and develop Kiambu’s vision 2030. We have an implementation programme through our County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP). We look at the resources that we currently have and the projected resources and then we discuss where we are going to get additional resources to move us forward,” said Nyoro.Nyoro, however, noted that if Waititu declines to work with him, he will join the opposition to provide oversight of the programmes launched in Kiambu until his term is over.“If that cannot work, we cannot work together. I’ll be in the opposition which means I will be providing oversight in Kiambu for the next four and a half years. My friend Ferdinand, let us work together and clearly spell out what exactly we want to achieve and what is our transformation agenda for Kiambu,” said the deputy governor.
