Mombasa-based singer Nyota Ndogo has made headlines once again after she pocketed Sh20, 000 for singing for just two minutes.
Forget about America’s Chris Brown who was paid Sh1m to perform in Mombasa after traveling all the way from the USA.
Nyota Ndogo earned the cash by singing from the comfort of her bedroom.
According to reports by eDaily, the talented singer was paid the cash to sing for a Nairobi man’s girlfriend during her birthday celebration.
“I had woken up at 4:30am to prepare my children for school. When I went through my phone, I saw an M-Pesa message. I read it and realised the money was sent from a phone number that was not in my contact list. When I was about to call him, he ringed and told me that he hadn’t sent the money by mistake, but because he wanted me to serenade his girlfriend, whom he said was asleep then. His exploit overwhelmed me,” said Nyota Ndogo, as quoted by eDaily.
The songstress said she shed tears not because she had received the money from an unknown person, but because of the love and boldness he had shown.
