Mombasa songbird Mwanaisha Abdala, popularly known as Nyota Ndogo, has rejected a Sh16 million gift offered by her Danish husband, Henning Nielsen.
Nyota Ndogo revealed that Nielsen wanted to buy her a sports car valued at Sh16 million, but she humbly turned down the offer.
"For a few days now, my husband has been so persuasive that he wants to buy me a car. He's been insisting that I must have my own car while in Denmark,” she said.
"So, we went to an auto bazaar and he liked a specific model that fetches at Sh16 million, but I rejected it,” said the songstress.
When asked why she decided to decline such an offer, Nyota Ndogo said, "I refused the offer because we had agreed that after 10 years, he would relocate permanently to Kenya.”
She instead asked her husband to invest the money in real estate.
"I told him instead of buying another car, we'd rather put up some rental houses in Mombasa because I already have another car in Kenya that fits all of us well. I also told him that we can buy another house in Nyali,” she said, as quoted by The Star.
