Despite denying knowledge of one Josephine Kabura, Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru could after all be a close friend to the woman whose name featured in the NYS saga where the country reportedly lost millions.
A photo circulating online shows Kabura sited behind Deputy President William Ruto in the VIP launch during the inauguration of Waiguru.
During the probe by the Parliamentary Accounts Committee, Waiguru, who at a time served as Devolution Minister, denied knowing Kabura, a key suspect of NYS looting.
But the photo that went viral communicates otherwise given the treatment accorded to the lady who hit headlines in one of the most investigated corruption scandal during Uhuru Kenyatta’s first term in office.
On record, Kabura linked Waiguru to her woes adding that she used to receive millions from the then embattled Cabinet Secretary to bank on her behalf.
