NYS theft suspect Ann Ngirita, who has been accused of pocketing 60 million shillings fraudulently in the NYS scandal, has lamented that she is starving in the Langata Prison after she was denied of accessing into delicious feeding.
The suspect claimed that she feeds on Samosas and the last time she took quality food was on June 3.
The suspect made the remarks while at Milimani law court, where she was following her ruling on an application for bail.
“How can we follow these proceedings when we are hungry? We are starving," she said.
However, her sentiments have raised mixed reactions among sections of Garissa residents who shared their thoughts over the revelation of the suspect.
Amina Hussein said," she should be taught that stealing will deny the doer the fine things of life."
Abdi Muhumed opined," Personally, I perceive those words as contemptuous to the public and the court. How can a suspect in a cell chose what to eat and what not to eat."
Muhumed Abdi said," This lady is only drawing the attention of the public to gain popularity since she makes one dramatic move after another."
Mowlid Hassan commented," If the lady is starving and has the money to buy the food, let she be given the autonomy to choose what she loves."
Amina Shukri said," She should not be given partial treatment because other inmates are feeding what she is feeding on."
