Top officials of Nyumba Kumi in Keumbu area in Nyaribabari Chache have resolved to submit key illicit brew dealers in the area to the security officials to curb the rising alcohol abuse menace in the area.
Led by heir chairperson Dennis Tundura they said that they have already set up a date with the local chief and other key security officials in the area and they will ensure the crackdown is successful.
“We all want to ensure that the area is not occupied by drunkards and the dealers should look elsewhere to carry their business and not in Keumbu area,” he added.
He added that he is happy the residents have been cooperative when they were gathering the information which will help the police to curb alcohol and drug abuse among the old and young.
They were addressing the press after they held a meeting at Keumbu town hall and said actions will be taken within few days.
