Nzoia Sugar head coach Bernard Mwalala is optimistic his boys will overcome a resurgent AFC Leopards when the two sides meet at the Mumias Sports Complex in their mid-week league clash.
Although Leopards recently beat Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 in their GOtv Shield Cup finals, their record in the league is poor as they sit position 12, four slots behind 8th placed Nzoia.
Mwalala is optimistic his boys will overcome their 2-1 first leg defeat at Kenyatta's Machakos Stadium and bag the maximum points in the return clash.
"We have prepared well. The boys are also looking forward to the game because Leopards is a big team. I respect Leopards but I believe this is a match I can win. In the first leg our wastefulness cost us and if we become more clinical then we can win this game," he said.
Mwalala said he is aware of Ingwe coach Robert Matano's prowess on the touchline and anticipates a tough opposition.
"When you look at the position they are in currently it's not a good for a club of Leopards stature and I know they badly want to win this game. They also have a very experienced coach and I anticipate a very tough match," he added.
