Nzoia Sugar FC head coach Bernard Mwalala has said that he is optimistic that his team will perform better during the second phase of the season.
Mwalala has said that he has adapted to the competitive level of the top flight and believes they will register an improvement when action in the league resumes.
“It took us quite some time to adjust to the new environment but the learning curve was necessary. We are not quite stable and I am sure we will perform well,” said Mwalala.
Nzoia opened the season in style, hammering champions Tusker FC 5-2 but the sugar millers have failed rocked back and forth to settle in the 10th position and are yet to win a SPL game at home.
