US President Barack Obama’s family in Kenya is considering cursing the president’s half-brother Malik Obama over his political stance in the US presidential race.
The elders from Kogelo village said they were disappointed by Malik’s ‘blackmail’ of his younger brother’s presidency and resultant support for Donald Trump.
“He has no moral authority to wage war against his brother and the President of the US, who is highly respected across the globe,” said an elder.
“As President Obama’s immediate family, we distance ourselves from Malik’s relationship with Trump, whose utterances and threats against Muslims and Africans living in the US have shocked the world,” he added.
Another elder Martin Ogada said that Malik’s behaviour was a betrayal to the family because he was ‘eating with the enemy’ of one of their own and nothing could meet that but a curse.
“We are closely monitoring his behaviour and his decision to continue eating with the enemy. If he doesn’t change, we may be forced to put a curse on him,” said Mr Ogada.
Malik has been an astute Trump supporter who dismisses Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton as a villain responsible for various wars started by the US across the world.
