Retired US President Barack Obama is set to host Reality TV star Oprah Winfrey at his father's ancestral home in Siaya on July 16th, local media has reported.
In a one day tight schedule, Obama will also hold talks with president Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga before flying to South Africa for Nelson Mandela Day.
But the iconic Winfrey's inclusion makes the tour even more eye-catching since she has already indicated that she will run for Democratic Party primaries ahead of 2022 presidential elections.
Oprah, who makes most of her money through Oprah Winfrey Show, runs South Africa based Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy that has been in existence for 10 years now.
After visiting Obama's ancestral village of K'Ogello, the pair will grace a charity golf tournament in Muthaiga organised by Dr. Auma Obama's Sauti Kuu Foundation.
Remarkably, also to accompany Obama in his first return post US presidency to Kenya is Senegalese musician Akon and Nigerian business mogul Aliko Dangote.
Details about the visit remains scanty with State House spokesman Manoah Esipisu declining to furnish the media with finer information.
