The former US President Barack Obama has issued a statement to Kenyans over the general elections currently underway.
Obama urged Kenyans to vote peacefully and maintain law and order during and after the voting.
He told Kenyans to reject incitement and ethnic hatred during the exercise.
Kenyans have turned out at polling stations in large numbers to vote for leaders of their choice after a heated campaign period.
This year's general election is said to be the most heated in the history Kenya with the major contenders for the presidential seat being President Uhuru Kenyatta and Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
