Speaking on Tuesday at Kisii town community clinical officer Kepha King’oina said that it is important for the management to make sure that the environment of the school is always friendly to the students.

In addition, he said that there are some schools which are not taking any measures in ensuring that there is hygiene in the school compound which is risky to the students and even the teachers.

“It is advisable that all our schools should maintain hygiene so that we can protect them from any outbreaks of diseases,” said Kingo’ina.

King’oina also said that they have plans in place of visiting all schools within the county so that they can guide them on how to maintain hygiene.

“Last term we were able to visit some school within the county and we were shocked at what we saw, more so in dormitories, we encourage the administration to make sure that hygiene is maintained,” added King’oina.
