Kisii County senator Chris Obure has said that there are some factors which make him not campaign for the ODM party in Kisii County.
Obure being ODM chairman in Kisii county has been associating with Jubilee party and even campaigned for Jubilee party during the Nyacheki by-election which they lost but to him that one cannot stop them with their agenda of unifying the Omogusii and changing the leadership in Kisii county.
According to Obure who is eyeing for Kisii Gubernatorial seat, he said that the County being headed by ODM leadership nothing much has been done hence he has no option of supporting Jubilee since its one which has done much compared to ODM.
Obure added that he is supporting the Jubilee administration since it has done great development in the region, unlike ODM leaders who are governing the county without much being done.
"I will not campaign for ODM since it has failed, as the county which is headed by the ODM leader it has total failed more so in development, How can I campaign for the team which has failed,” questioned Obure.
The senator also challenged the community to come together since unity is power and through unity is when they will develop the county
“As the community which deserves respect we need to come together so that we can be respected for bargaining power,” said Obure.
"We believe that Kisii security will come through being united, hence we urge residents to come together so that we can as well have effective representation in Nairobi," he added.
Obure was speaking on Sunday at Nyanguru during the fund drive for 22 churches
