Kisii county Senator Chris Obure has been accused of being in the forefront to betray the Gusii community by the recently formed movement known as 'Omogusii unity'.
Bomariba Ward MCA Protus Moindi has said that the movement by the Kisii county ODM chairman is misleading the people.
Speaking in Nyabimwa, Moindi said that the group 'Omogusii unity' is meant to mislead the community.
"Our area MP Zebedeo Opore is in the forefront as the Omogusii unity . He has failed to address the allegations against him on the sungusungu people as well he has forgotten to fulfill his promises. He should exit the so-called unity before 2017," stated Moindi.
"We can not agree to be misled by a section of individuals. As Gusii people, we have rights to choose the party to support. I was elected in 2013 on an ODM ticket and have no plans to exit. The Omogusii unity members want to lure poor people to support a party they have no interests in and we will not allow that happen in our peaceful Gusii land. Our community is firmly united," he added.
