Kisii county Senator Chris Obure and Deputy Governor Joash Maangi have challenged the community to work with the current Government under the leadership of  President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Addressing residents on Monday at Nyosia in Nyaribari Chache during the burial ceremony of Esther Nyachae, the two said that it is good for the community to work with the government in fostering development.

Deputy Governor Joash Maangi who is also the secretary to Omogusii unity team said that they are working with the current government so that the community can benefit from national resources.

“As the community, we need to work with the government of the day so to foster our developments,” Maangi said.

Senator Obure also said  they are working with the government so that they can develop the county through talking in one voice for bargaining of the national cake .

“A community which talks in one voice, always to achieve its goals hence we need to be together by supporting the incumbent leaders,” Obure said.

Obure who is also the chairman to Omogusii unity has been leading delegates to State House where they meet the president and said to discuss issues affecting the community and on how to end them.

Mzee Nyachae also challenged residents to respect leaders by supporting them.
