Obure, who ditched Orange Democratic Movement Party recently for Jubilee Party has been facing hostility from a section of his constituents.

In a message posted by Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong’i on Kisii Alliance Whatsap group, the two leaders were keen to seek blessings from the former presidential hopeful.

“Senator Obure and I met our mentor Simon Nyachae in his Karen home. We had a fruitful discussion on Kisii County politics and I am glad that he still has a sharp memory,” he said.

“I trust that Obure will take the mantle and guide our community to the desired destination. We need development and its only Jubilee leadership has shown that commitment to the community,” added Tong’i.

Obure has since shown his interest in gubernatorial seat with Simon Nyachae’s eldest son; Charles Nyachae expected to run for senatorial seat.
