The Chief Administration Secretary Ministry of Transport Chris Obure has met with the members of the Kenyan Roads Board as a way of familiarising with operations of the board.
In a statement after the meeting, Mr Obure, the former Kisii county senator said that there was need of working hand in hand with President Kenyatta in order to achieve the Jubilee four agendas.
"As the team from the ministry of roads, we are out to ensure that we work hand in hand with the Jubilee plan which is transforming the country in the next five years," he said.
Mr Obure asked the board members to ensure by the end of the year a number of roads are started across the country.
He later held a meeting with the Executive Director of the board Engineer Jacob Ruwa where the two agreed to work together in commissioning a number of key roads in the country.
This week President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to commission the opening of the Githurai- Rwai road which will help ease congestion on Thika road.
Mr Obure will be among the key officials from the ministry of roads expected to accompany President Kenyatta.
