Kisii Senator Chris Obure has selected former Ford People chairman Eng. Albert Nyaundi as his running mate for his governorship bid.
The former Bobasi MP said he settled on Nyaundi, an architecture by profession, after wide consultations with colleagues and supporters.
“I did this after extensively consultations and I have hope that he will be my running mate and deputy governor,” said Mr Obure.
He described Mr Nyaundi, as a ‘professional of high standing of good report,”.
Obure said, if elected he improve service delivery and equitably distribute resources to the people of Kisii County.
Nyaundi had served as Ford People Party chair before the party broke up to join the Jubilee Party.
The matter of dissolving the party is still before the High Court after a section of discontented members filed an injunction.
Nyaundi plunged into politics in 2006 and went on to run for the larger Bomachoge parliamentary seat on Ford Kenya ticket only to emerge third.
Later, in 2013, he again vied for the same seat on Ford People ticket and lost.
Though a perennial loser, he said they will bring political revolution when they set foot in the County.
“We are coming and we will come with a storm be sure we are ready to bring the change people are yearning,” he said.
Nyaundi who spoke by phone said six months are enough to bring sweep victory for the party in the region.
