Kisii county Senator Chris Obure has rubbished Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria’s allegations about the visit some Kisii county leaders made to State House last week.
According to Obure, Omogusii unity movement went to State House to urge President Uhuru Kenyatta to foster more development in Gusii region and no politics.
Speaking on Sunday at Nyataro in Nyaribari Chache constituency Moses Kuria said Obure and other Kisii county leaders went to state house on political matters adding that Obure will vie for the gubernatorial seat come 2017 in Kisii county through Jubilee party ticket but Obure has since denied the allegations
“We went to State House on matters of development and not politics because we need to unite Kisii community," said Obure.
Kuria insisted that Obure, Kisii county deputy governor Joash Maangi, and former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae are going to vie for political posts in 2017 through Jubilee party.
