Former Kisii Senator Chris Obure has dismissed allegations that he has abandoned President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee for NASA.

Speaking to the press, Obure maintained he is in Jubilee to stay, vowing to conduct intensive campaigns for Uhuru's re-election in Kisii and Nyamira counties.

"The purported reports in the media that I have been mistreated in Jubilee should be ignored. None of us is leaving Jubilee to support the Opposition. Instead, we will receive defectors to our side," Obure said, as quoted by the Standard.

The former Senator said his move to ditch Raila Odinga's ODM for Jubilee was well informed and exuded confidence that Uhuru will win next month poll

"It was a deliberate and personal decision to support Jubilee and President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election. Our mandate is to deliver majority votes as we did on August 8," he added.
