Kisii county senator Chris Obure has apologized to Kisii county residents over the county governor James Ongwae’s leadership.

Obure said he is the one who campaigned for Ongwae in the last general election 2013 and won the seat but the governor has failed to deliver and foster development to residents and apologized for the mess.

Speaking on Sunday at Nyanguru in Nyaribari Chache constituency during a church fund raiser, Obure said governor Ongwae is his friend and he [Obure] struggled to see that Ongwae becomes the governor who has failed in development and apologized to Kisii residents.

"Governor Ongwae is my Friend and I am the person who campaigned for him in 2013 election in making sure he becomes the governor and won the election. I have realized that I made a mistake please forgive me and I apologize,” said  Obure.

 Former Constitution Implementation Commission chairman Charles Nyachae who graced the event asked governor Ongwae to come out clean and tell residents and Kisii county leaders how he has used county resources since 2013 for transparency.

"I want to know what Ongwae has benefited Abanyaribari [Nyaribari chache residents ]and other county residents in development but if he fails we are going to send him Home ,” said Charles Nyachae.
