Former Kisii senator Chris Obure has urged his supporters and Kenyans as a whole to pray for him and his fellow team ahead of their Anglo Leasing case set for February 2018.

According to the former minister, he is innocent and wasn't involved in the money laundering that saw the government lose billions.

"I wasn't involved in any money laundering and I believe the other three former senior government officials are also innocent and I urge Kenyans to pray for us ahead of the hearings set to be heard on February 17, 2018, by the anti-corruption court," said Obure.

Obure and other senior government officials in early 2016 March were charged with abuse of office and conspiracy to defraud the government by authorising a Sh928,278,112 contract.
