Nominated MP Oburu Oginga believes that his brother and Orange Democratic Movement Leader Raila Odinga will easily clinch presidency following ‘poor’ development record of Jubilee government.
Mr. Odinga is expected to throw his fourth and perhaps the last attempt for the country’s top job after unsuccessfully vying in three previous attempts.
And Mr. Odinga’s eldest sibling on Sunday backed his brother insisting that he was in pole possession to dethrone Jubilee government from power.
“Raila is my brother and I have seen him lead the struggle to liberate this country. I know that his dreams to lead this nation will not go unrewarded because he will clinch presidency next year,” he said during a funeral at Borabu.
“He has campaigned vigorously and as ODM, we have done our part. I am hopeful that the Gusii community will join the rest of the country in propelling him to State House. I am pretty hopeful that 2017 will be our year,” he added.
Oburu also urged youths to register as voters in large numbers and challenged ODM grassroots leaders to rally behind the party’s national agenda.
