An early goal by Vincent Oburu was all AFC Leopards needed to overcome visiting Chemelil Sugar in a Kenya Premier League match played at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday.
Oburu netted his fifth goal of the season just eight minutes into the start of the match.
It was defender Salim Shittu who provided the cross and Oburu did not take chances to fire it past custodian Jairus Adira in the opposite corner.
Ingwe will have themselves to blame for the numerous chances they wasted with Alexis Kitenge the main culprit.
In the second half, Chemelil came a stronger side but a sharp defence of Shittu and Dennis Sikhayi was in position to see the threats detonated away from goal.
The win means that Ingwe leap over Chemelil to the 10th position with 42 points while the millers drop to 12th with 29 points.
