Nominated legislator Oburu Odinga is on his way to quitting the MP seat and join the East African Legislative Assembly (Eala).
This comes after a row began brewing within the Wiper Democratic Party after the nomination party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s son Kennedy Musyoka to the regional assembly.
Jubilee Party has five slots of the available nine and has nominated Kamkunji parliamentary loser Simon Mbugua as one of its representatives.
According to sources in ODM, the decision to nominate Odinga to the regional assembly was to cushion him from the recent loss in he party's primaries in Bondo constituency.
Oburu will be joining ODM chairperson of the National Elections Board Judy Pareno and Abubakar Zein as the party’s nominees to Eala.
