ODM nominated MP Oburu Odinga has accused his Rarieda counterpart Nicholas Gumbo of making fun of his potbelly but instead concentrate on his bid to be the Siaya Governor.
"Some of these politicians do not know I started investing heavily in my belly before they were even born, so they should stop making fun of it," Oburu said.
Dr Oburu cautioned Mr Gumbo who is the chairman of the Parliamentary Accounts Committee (PAC) to stop insulting his rivals in the name of campaigns.
Speaking at Ogeye ACK church in Bondo on Sunday, the Cord leader Raila Odinga's elder brother said that his belly is a result of hard work over years.
Dr Odinga who is known to be supporting current Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga has in the past had a rough time with fellow MPs from the county for supporting Rasanga who they accuse of being corrupt.
However, he told off Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo who has always been Rasanga's bitter critic saying he (Midiwo) has no evidence to prove that Rasanga is corrupt.
At the same time, speaking in rally, Gumbo asked Dr Odinga to support his bid to be the governor saying he supported him in 2013.
