Nominated MP Oburu Odinga has warned that there are plans by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) to sabotage the 2017 elections.
Oburu who was speaking during a funds drive in Nyawita Primary school in Bondo said the opposition wants a free and fair election in 2017.
"We want fair competition. I wonder what IEBC commissioners are still doing in office giving directions," said.
Oburu also alleged that the Isaak Hassan-led team was already in the process of purchasing election materials a move that he deemed illegal.
"You can see they are already purchasing election materials which is against the law," he added.
Siaya governor Cornel Rasanga who accompanied Oburu said the IEBC was wasting money in purchasing ballot papers and should opt to use one ballot paper for all the elective positions in Kenya.
"We do not need six ballot papers for all the positions being vied for because it is very expensive. In America it is only one ballot paper for all the positions," he said.
