Kenya Diaspora Alliance leader Shem Ochuodho has reiterated that the National Super Alliance (NASA) is not a solution to the problems facing the country.
According to Ochuodho, the NASA coalition is facing the same problems that the current government led by the Jubilee party is facing. He believes the two political outfits are characterized by impunity, exclusion (tribalism) and graft and thus not a solution to the country.
In his view, the country only lacks a third option for the people to rely on for their needs and wants be resolved.
"Jubilee is a problem for the country but NASA is not the solution. Jubilee is characterized by impunity, exclusion and graft which are the same characteristics of NASA. The country only lacks a better third option to depend on," reiterated Ochuodho.
The former lawmaker further called on both President Uhuru Kenyatta and his competitor Raila Odinga follow the constitution and the rule of the law in undertaking their businesses. For example, Ochuodho faulted the NASA coalition for writing to IEBC calling for the resignation of certain commissioners.
"President Kenyatta and Raila should adhere to the constitution and the rule of law in doing their businesses. For instance, NASA cannot write to IEBC calling for the resignation of certain commissioners. There is a law to be followed," added Ochuodho.
Ochuodho made the remarks on Monday during a political discussion on Am Live show on NTV where he also pointed out that the laws are not made for the benefit of a few in the country.
