The Kibera born talented musician Henry Ochieng, popularly known as Octopizzo has come up openly to share his ambitions of running for presidency in the 2022 general election.
The Kenyan rapper who was born and raised in Kibera said he wishes to be a president so that he can help fellow youths from Kibera realise why they should work hard.
Octopizzo, a first born in the family of four, said he is very responsible since he is paying fees for his siblings and his children. He revealed that he lost both parents while in form two but worked hard to achieve his goals.
‘‘I have been a real hustler, I have done ‘mjengo’ and other hustles. I believe these taught me some life lessons,’’ he said.
He says he loves education and will advocate for education to all youths. He is not the only public figure in Kibera who has shown value for education. The Kibera MP, Ken Okoth called on youths and children to go to school.
If elected, Octopizzo said he will take Kibera youths on a one week tour in Runda and Karen to show them different classes of people in society. He says this will help them work even harder.
