Chemelil Sugar head coach Charles Odera says his side dropped crucial points due to lack of experience in the team but hailed his players for showing a good character against Bandari FC.
The Millers suffered a 0-1 defeat on Tuesday 12th June at Chemelil Sports Complex against the Dockers thanks to Felly Mulumba's first-half penalty.
Odera has hailed his new players despite his side failing to register a win in its 6 last matches.
"My team has youngsters, they've really tried, created good chances and had a penalty and failed to convert but they had a good game. I feel inexperience has cost us crucial points but will have more pieces of training as we prepare for the next game. All we need is coordination," he said.
"We are arranging friendly matches before we take on AFC Leopards in the next Kenya Premier League match against teams from Kisumu and Miwani," Odera added.
The team will take on AFC Leopards in another tough match, but the coach is optimistic that with a change in their tactics and how they approach the game, they will win.
Thet team has lost some players though, with Faraj Ominde, Maxwell Onyango, Collins Neto, Philip Muchuma, John Waw, Yusuf Juma, John Kuol and Benjamin Oketch all having left the club.
