Opposition supporters have to wait until Tuesday morning for the much anticipated 'major' announcement by Raila Odinga.

On Sunday during a rally at Nairobi's Kawangware suburbs, Odinga said he would give his final position following his decision to boycott October polls.

In his twitter account, ODM Director of Elections Junet Mohammed preempted that Odinga would not make the public address that was scheduled on Monday.

"Raila Odinga has been in the kitchen the whole day today cooking , wait it will be served tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10am," read Junet's tweet.

He further said: "I am part of the 62 percent waiting to be served with justice by our party leader."

While it is not yet clear what Odinga would announce, he had however ruled the much hinted secession of the Republic of Kenya.

With uncertainty still engulfing the country, IEBC has since declared President Uhuru Kenyatta the winner of Thursday's boycotted elections.

Similar message was communicated by ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire who said Tuesday's announcement will liberate the country.

"We have suffered for a long time and it is time to act. Raila will speak to his people tomorrow," he said.
