Opposition leader Raila Odinga and his team will on Thursday morning meet embattled IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati in Nairobi as election date row escalates.

Already, Chabukati has set October 17th as the dare for another fresh presidential elections following nullification of Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory by the Supreme Court.

On Wednesday, NASA leaders had to abandon their Parliamentary Group meeting in Lavington only for their date with IEBC to be cancelled over unknown reasons.

Among the top agendas will be reconstituting the IEBC body to oversee a credible election and allowing scrutiny to servers to ascertain what transpired on August 8.

Odinga has already dismissed the date adding that the electoral body must undergo radical surgery before holding any election, a move that has been disputed by the Jubilee team.

Various changes have been carried out by Chebukati but both sides of political divide have dismissed them as ‘minor’, a move that now sends the commission back to the drawing board.
