NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has accused the ruling Jubilee Party of misusing the police.

Speaking in a press conference Wednesday, Odinga accused the government of using the police to harass a section of Kenyans considered unfriendly to the Jubilee regime, most specifically opposition supporters.

He also accused the state of using the force to deny Kenyans their constitutional right to picket by interrupting peaceful demonstrations, called for by the alliance, to push for reforms in the national election commission IEBC.

''Our supporters have always held peaceful demonstrations with the police in turn responding violently. It is evident and sad that the government is using the police force to oppress us and deny us our constitutional right,'' said the former Premier.

Odinga also maintained that the weekly Monday and Friday protests will not stop until the alliance's calls for reforms in the poll body  are responded to.

''There is no end in sight for the demonstrations until all our demands are responded to. We are calling upon all Kenyans to support and join us in our quest for free and fair polls,'' he said.
